Warabimochi

Warabimochi are a typical Japanese sweet made from Bracken (Warabi) starch with a awesome texture and flavour.

Soft rice cakes are kneaded with bracken (warabi) powder and generously covered with soybean flour (kinako).
It comes with molasses (kuromitsu), which can be poured over the waraabimochi to your taste.
If you serve it chilled you can even enjoy a different texture and taste.
