Tobanjang, also spelled as Tobanjan or Doubanjian, is a spicy paste made of chilli peppers, beans, salt and several spices. It is a mandatory ingredient for many Asian dishes, esp. from the Szechuan area.
This authentic soy bean sauce from China is used Chinese restaurants and professional chefs as well.
It is characterized by its mellow aroma, richness, and flavor, followed by a mildly spicy, angular taste.
No chemical seasonings or additives of any kind are used.
It is a special grade product fermented and aged for three years.
